This one day trip is designed for the parents who take their young kids to travel in Chengdu to have more fun. Visit Chengdu Panda Base to see so many pandas and red pandas in one place and watching the little pandas playing together is definitely one of the best Chengdu things to do and was a real highlight of our visit. Go back to downtown to let your children experience handmade Chinese traditional culture activities such as shadow play making or paper making activities; Walk around Tibetan Quarter and Jinli Old Street.

8:00-8:30am: Pick up and go to Chengdu Panda Base
You will be met by your guide and driver in your hotel, holding the logo of SunriseChina Expeditions and your name sign.We driver about half an hour to go to Chengdu Panda Base.
08:30-11:00pm: Chengdu Panda Base Tour
Walk around different enclosures to see the pandas.
11:00-13:00pm: Local snacks as the lunch in downtown
Go back to downtown of Chengdu, have lunch nearby.
13:00-14:00pm: Experience Chinese Traditional Culture Activity
Paper making is one of Chinese four inventions in history, also shadow play is a kind Chinese traditional culture activity, you can choose one of them to experience the handmade activity, after finishing it, the works can be taken away as a souvenir.

14:00-16:00am: A Taster of Tibet:Tibetan Quarter Visit
Drive back to Tibetan Quarter nearby Wuhou Temple; Known as Little Lhasa, Chengdu's colorful Tibetan quarter is as close as one can get to Tibet without traveling to the remote Sichuan countryside or crossing the border to Tibet itself. Wander down Wuhouci Heng Jie, directly opposite Wuhou Temple, and take in the sights: monks wrapped in maroon robes counting beads behind their backs, vendors selling yak butter on the street, and shop after shop of Tibetan Buddhist religious icons, prayer flags and wheels, tapestries, incense, wildly patterned leather boots, and beads of every hue, size and price.
We will not only walk around this Tibetan Quarter, but also taste Tibetan food like yak meat, drink yak butter tea, together with a Tibetan culture demonstration by our guide.
16:00-17:30pm: Jinli Old Street Tour
Just outside Wuhou Temple is Jinli Street, a narrow street of shops, restaurants and craft stalls. The architecture of this quaint pedestrian street mirrors the Qing Dynasty style of the temple making it one of the most popular Chengdu places of interest.

The quoted price is for an 8-hour tour per day. If you use more than 6 hours or less than 8 hours per day it will still be considered a full day.
Additional hours are billed at 50CNY to 100CNY for the guide and 50CNY to 100CNY for the driver.
Please note that the itinerary is flexible and we can adjust it according to your personal interests, the weather or any unexpected conditions.
For the lunch, we will take you to the authentic Chinese local restaurant catering for the locals with great dishes. If you prefer to take a lunch in a fancy restaurant or order dishes more than our budget then you can just cover the cost difference above our budget.
We conduct only private tour but not group tour and won't mix you with others.
Our tours are complete non-forced shopping tour and we won't take you to any factories without request to waste your valuable time.
