Tour Description:
Guide and driver will meet you in your hotel lobby in the morning around 8:30am.
We will then travel via private vehicle (car or van), around 40 minutes drive to Yungang Grottoes. In the morning to visit one of the largest stone caving art treasury - Yungang Grottoes, after the local lunch, go to explore one local Great Wall - Deshengbao Great Wall. The tour will finish at around 16:30pm-17:00pm, we will drop you off at your hotel in the end.
Attraction Description:
Yungang Grottoes - one of the largest stone caving art treasury famous both home and abroad, which was listed as a world heritage site in 2011. It is located at the southern foot of Wuzhou Mountain, the grotto area was excavated along the mountain, imposingly stretching 1 kilometer with rich contents. Covering over 18,000 square meters engraving area, there are existing 45 main caves, 209 subsidiary caves, more than 1,100 niches, and more than 51,000 stone statues, among which the largest statue measures 17 meters and the smallest only 2 centimeters.
Zhenchuankou Great Wall - it's located to the north of Zhenchuanbao village that is an important fortress in Datong town of the great wall of the Ming Dynasty. At that time, due to the flat terrain along the Great Wall under the jurisdiction of this castle, there was no risk of mountains and rivers to rely on, so it was vulnerable to invasion. Hence the wall were built.
The Zhenchuankou section Great Wall, which is about 3000 meters long, is the essence of Datong Great Wall. The fortress is covered with a large pile of steamed abutments and stands in the plains. The piers and abutments of the enemy buildings here are huge, and the piers and abutments inside and outside the walls are staggered. Most of the piers and abutments are surrounded by square walls, forming a small square city. In the years of Jiajing and Longqing, the Mongol soldiers destroyed the walls twice.

The quoted price is for an 8-hour tour per day. If you use more than 6 hours or less than 8 hours per day it will still be considered a full day.
Additional hours are billed at 50CNY to 100CNY for the guide and 50CNY to 100CNY for the driver.
Please note that the itinerary is flexible and we can adjust it according to your personal interests, the weather or any unexpected conditions.
For the lunch, we will take you to the authentic Chinese local restaurant catering for the locals with great dishes. If you prefer to take a lunch in a fancy restaurant or order dishes more than our budget then you can just cover the cost difference above our budget.
We conduct only private tour but not group tour and won't mix you with others.
