Start your day with a pick-up from your hotel in central Beijing. You'll travel in comfort to the Mutianyu Great Wall, a scenic 1.5 to 2-hour drive through the rolling hills of northern Beijing. Along the way, your guide will offer insights into the Wall's history and its significance as a northern barrier protecting the capital and imperial tombs.
10:00 AM: Arrive at the Mutianyu Great Wall
Once you arrive, you have the choice of taking the cable car or chair lift up to the Wall's highest points. The journey up offers breathtaking views of the lush valley below and the rugged peaks that stretch endlessly into the distance.
At the top, you'll have 1-2 hours to explore this ancient marvel. 2:00 PM: Village Exploration or Fruit Picking
On the way back to your hotel, you will pass by a quaint village near Mutianyu, where you can take a leisurely stroll and soak in the local life.
