This is a must-see for those visiting the Shaanxi province for nature site of China. The brown and muddy water of the Yellow River pours down like from the nozzle of a teapot, hence its name Hukou (teapot nozzle). Water rushes down in huge bursts, throwing up beautiful water splashes. Then the roar of the waterfall echoes from the cave and adds to the sensational experience.
Hukou Waterfall is the 2nd largest waterfall in China and the largest yellow waterfall in the world. It takes around 4 hours driving northwards from Xi'an and you will see the marvelous waterfall group. From May to October you will see the roaring waterfall, in winter, you will see the calm glacier fall. No matter what time you go, you will be astounded by its unique desolate and power beauty.
Special lunch will be provide after waterfall stop, You will try Yellow river side people daily meal and visit northern Chinese living dwelling cave house (if time permits), then take another 4 hours drive back Xi'an downtown hotel.
