Overview

This multi city tour includes the main sights in Beijing, Shanghai and Suzhou, 3 days independent Beijing tour shows you the ancient architectures with their background history such as Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven as well as the amazing Mutianyu Great Wall. One day trip in Shanghai to visit the old downtown area as well as the internationalized architectures, Yu Garden, the Bund area and etc. There is another day to Suzhou from Shanghai to explore Tongli Water Town and the cute gardens. All transfers listed, ticket fees, guide service and one way second class high speed train from Beijing to Shanghai are included. Please cover the lunch by your own expense.

Itinerary

Day 1Beijing: Tian’anmen Square - Forbidden City - Hutong - Lama Temple

Pick up at the hotel at 8:30am to 9:00am

Tour Tian'anmen Square - one of the world's largest public square. Explore the sites around the square with opportunities to take some amazing pictures.

After lunch, drive to the hutong (old residential area). Walk around old Beijing hutong nearby Shichahai Lake.

We will then take a 30-minute ride to the Lama Temple, it's the largest and most well-preserved Tibetan Buddhist Temple in Beijing.

As an optional excursion, you may choose to include the deliciously famous Perking Roast Duck Dinner and the Acrobatic Show Performance at the Chaoyang Theatre. Please notify us if would like to take advantage of this special, exciting addition.

Day 2Beijing: The Great Wall - Olympic Stadiums

Pick up at the hotel (7:30am to 8:00am)

Mutianyu Great Wall - the most perfect famous and ideal section of the Great Wall. Take the cable car or chair lift up the wall and spend 1- to 2 hours hiking up and down from one section to another, seeing the Watch Towers and marveling at the construction and beauty of the Great Wall.

Lunch in a local Chinese restaurant or at the subway restaurant down the Mutianyu Wall.

Olympic Stadiums - have a stop to exterior view the unique architecture of the "Bird Nest" and "Water Cube“, just for taking photos.

Day 3Beijing - Shanghai By High Speed Train - Temple of Heaven - Pearl Market - Summer Palace

Temple of Heaven: the largest Imperial place of worship from ancient times. This special place becomes a park where the local community utilizes this beautiful and enormous space for social activities such as singing, dancing, and Taiji practice.

Pearl Market: Here you can find those fun knock-off brand bags, shoes, and watches as well as pearls. There is a little bit of everything here, and you will surely find some great souvenirs to bring home to family and friends.

We then take a 40-minute drive to Summer Palace, a summer resort for Imperial Family Members - considered the best preserved Imperial Park.

Transfer to the railway station for taking the high speedy train (departures from Beijing south railway station) from Beijing to Shanghai (5 to 5.5 hours)

Be picked up at the Shanghai or Shanghai Hongqiao railway station & transfer to the hotel in downtown Shanghai.

Day 4Shanghai: Yu Garden - The Bund - French Concession

Be picked up at the Shanghai hotel located in the center city.

Visit Yu Garden, which is one of Shanghai's five ancient gardens built in a style derived from Suzhou, a cit of gardens in the vicinity of Shanghai.

The Yuyuan Bazaar is a market with lots of small shops / vendors selling souvenirs, hand-made crafts, folk crafts, packed snacks.

Next take a stroll around one of Shanghai's nicest parks, People's Park to understand the local Shanghaier's daily life.

The Bund: a symbol of Shanghai and an epitome of Shanghai's modern history.

Outside view of Shanghai World Financial Center: China's latest “tallest building boasts a breath-taking multi-level sightseeing facility which takes advantage of the huge hole that lends the structure the look of a giant bottler opener. The glass-enclosed sky bridge on the 97th floor leads the way to a 100th floor observation deck. If you want to visit inside, please cover the tickets by your own expense, thanks.

French Concession: A residential area of Shanghai once designated for the French, it is popular with tourists and expats, and appreciated for its cafes, tree-lined avenues, and old houses.

Day 5Shanghai - Suzhou - Shanghai

Meet your guide in your downtown area Shanghai hotel lobby at 8:00am or your request time, 1.5 - 2  hours drive to Suzhou.

Suzhou Garden of the Master of Nets: is unique for its small size and exquisite buildings, elegant landscape, and compact structure.

Panmen Gate: Suzhou, like many other Chinese cities, was surrounded by a ring of walls and gates from ancient time. Since commence and transport of the entire city depended heavily on its canal network, land transportation of the city was impractical. As a result Suzhou created a system of 'water gate'- small forts that opened for both land and water tariff. Panmen Gate belongs to this type, and it is the oldest one preserved in China today.

Tongli Water Village: it is considered the Venice in Asia. One of the best water village located in Suzhou and is a well protected water township with thousand years' history.

After the tour, drop you off at the hotel in Shanghai in the end of the entire trip.

  • The quoted price is for an 8-hour tour per day. If you use more than 6 hours or less than 8 hours per day it will still be considered a full day.

  • Additional hours are billed at 50CNY to 100CNY for the guide and 50CNY to 100CNY for the driver.

  • Please note that the itinerary is flexible and we can adjust it according to your personal interests, the weather or any unexpected conditions.

  • For the lunch, we will take you to the authentic Chinese local restaurant catering for the locals with great dishes. Please cover the lunch by your own cost.

  • We conduct only private tour but not group tour and won't mix you with others.
